FAQ

1How long should I wait between waxing treatments?

For best results, we recommend three to six weeks between treatments.

2Will waxing make my hair grow back thicker/darker?

No. Waxing actually does the opposite! You should expect your hair to grow in thinner, finer, softer & smoother than before!

3Is there any after-care I need to be aware of after waxing?

Avoid direct sunlight to the waxed area after your appointment. We recommend a cold shower, especially when getting back or legs waxed. For our clients more prone to irritation or ingrown hairs we sell Vanish PFB that you can purchase after your wax. This product soothes, hydrates, & heals the waxed areas.

4How long will the waxed area remain hair free?

On average you should expect the area to be hair free for three weeks. Though this varies based on the area waxed and personal genetics.

5Will my skin be red after my appointment?

Potentially. Irritation or redness varies from person to person, typically based on personal skin sensitivity & other factors (medication, etc.)

6Can I receive wax services while it is my “time of the month”?

Yes, though we do not recommend it as you are more likely to bruise, feel pain, or experience irritation.

7What is the difference between a Bikini & a Brazilian wax?

A Bikini Wax will follow your panty line, so that, as the name implies, if you’re wearing a bikini your hair will not be visible. A Brazilian Wax will leave you with a completely nude look from front to back.

8How long should my hair be for waxing?

We suggest a quarter of an inch, typically three to six weeks of hair growth.

9Is there anything I can do before waxing to prevent irritation or pain?

Yes. Before your appointment, you’ll want to stay hydrated and keep your skin moisturized, this helps in avoiding redness and irritation. If it is your first time getting waxed, avoid doing so directly before a special occasion or event as you do not know how your body will react to the wax treatment. If you tend to experience pain while being waxed, it would be wise to take an over-the-counter pain reliever before your appointment. Avoid tanning 24 hours prior to your appointment. Avoid any sweat-inducing exercise directly before your appointment. After your appointment has concluded, avoid heavy direct sunlight on the waxed areas as sunburn on the freshly waxed skin can be very painful. For our female clients, avoid waxing when your skin is sensitive. We typically advise avoiding scheduling an appointment during your time of the month as your skin is incredibly sensitive at this time.
